This policy explains what PW Gardening Service, trading as Powell and Wallace Ltd, does with the personal information you give us. It is written to be read rather than to cover us, so if anything here is unclear, ask.

Who we are

PW Gardening Service is a gardening business trading as Powell and Wallace Ltd, based in Lewisham, London. For questions about your information, email info@powellandwallaceent.com or call 07597 834962.

What we collect

Only what we need to quote for work and then carry it out:

• Your name
• Your address, so we know where the garden is
• A phone number or email address so we can reach you
• Any photos or notes about the garden that you choose to send us
• A record of work we have done for you and what you paid

We do not collect anything else, we do not ask for financial details through this website, and there is no login or account to create.

Why we hold it

To give you a price, to turn up at the right place on the right day, to invoice you, and to keep the records a business is required to keep. If you become a regular customer we keep your details so you do not have to give them again.

Who we share it with

Nobody, other than where we are legally required to — for example providing records to HMRC or to our accountant. We do not sell your information, we do not pass it to marketing companies, and we do not share it with other trades unless you have asked us to recommend someone and agreed to it.

How long we keep it

Contact and job records are kept for as long as you are a customer and then for six years, which is the period business and tax records have to be retained. Quotes that do not turn into work are deleted within a year.

This website

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not build a profile of you. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do so within a month at no charge. Where we are legally required to keep a record of work and payment we will explain what we have to retain and why. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page.
