About PW Gardening Service

PW Gardening Service is a gardening and grounds maintenance business run by Nicholas from Lewisham. It trades as Powell and Wallace Ltd and started work in 2025.

The work is domestic gardens, mostly regular visits: cutting grass, keeping edges clean, weeding and cutting back borders, and clearing green waste off site. Some of it is one-off clearance work on gardens that have been left for a season or two, or on plots being tidied up between tenants or before a sale.

How we work

Regular customers get a set day. That matters more than it sounds — a gardener who turns up on a different day each fortnight is a gardener you have to think about, and the point of paying someone is not having to think about it.

Everything we cut, pull or clear leaves with us. We would rather load a van than leave a customer with six bags and a full brown bin.

Where we work

Lewisham outward: Catford, Brockley, Hither Green, Blackheath, Deptford, Greenwich and Lee close in, then Forest Hill, Sydenham, Crystal Palace, Dulwich, Penge and Eltham, and out to Beckenham, Bromley, Chislehurst, Orpington, Addiscombe and Croydon. Being Lewisham based keeps travel time short across all of it, which is why we can hold a set day for regulars rather than fitting people in around a long drive.

Being straight about being new

This is a young business and there is no point pretending otherwise. There are no decades of trading to point at and no long list of reviews yet. What there is: someone who does the work himself, prices it before starting, and turns up when he said he would. If that is what you were after, get in touch.
