Most of the gardens we look after belong to people who like their garden and have run out of time for it. The grass gets away from them over a wet fortnight in May, the edges blur into the borders, and what was an hour’s job becomes an afternoon they never quite find.
The fix is usually a set day rather than a big project. We come on the same day each visit, cut the grass, tidy the edges, deal with whatever has grown since, and take the waste with us. You come home and it is done.
Waste goes with us
This is the part people ask about most, so it is worth being clear: we take the green waste away. No bags left by the side gate for you to deal with, no filling your brown bin over the following three weeks. It goes in the van the same day.
What a quote involves
Ring or message and describe the garden, or send a photo if it is easier. For anything routine we can usually price it from that. For a bigger clearance we come and look first, because guessing at overgrowth from a photo is how people end up disappointed on both sides. Quotes are free either way and there is no obligation.
Regular or one-off
Both are fine. Weekly or fortnightly through the growing season is what most lawns want between April and October, and a monthly tidy suits gardens that are mostly shrubs and paving. If you just want the place knocked back into shape once, we will do that and leave you to it.
New business, straight answers
PW Gardening Service started trading in 2025 and is run by Nicholas from Lewisham. We are not going to claim twenty years and a fleet of vans. What you get is someone who turns up on the day he said, does the work, and clears up after himself.

How we make things easier for you
How much does a lawn cut cost?
It depends on the size of the lawn and how often we come. Regular visits work out cheaper per cut than one-offs. Send a photo or describe the garden and we will give you a price before we start.
Do you take the garden waste away?
Yes, on the same visit. It goes in the van rather than into your bin or into bags by the gate.
How often should the grass be cut?
Through spring and summer, every one to two weeks keeps a lawn looking right. It slows down from October and most gardens need very little over winter.
Do I need to be home?
Not if we can reach the garden. Plenty of customers leave a side gate unlocked or a key with a neighbour. We will let you know when we have been.
How far do you travel?
We are based in Lewisham and cover south east London and the near Kent border. If you are further out, ask anyway, as it depends on the job.
